93 <br />MHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has made and completed the estimate <br />of its'necessery and ordinary expenses and of all special and extra -ordinary expenditures <br />contemplated as required by law, and duly advertised the same as required by law, and this <br />being the first meeting of said Board 'of County Commissioners subsequent to the advertising <br />of the same, and said budget being. now before this Board for final consideration and adoption <br />having been duly considered; Therefore, <br />Be it resolved that the said County Coinmissioners' budget and estimate of espenses <br />and expenditures for the year 1950-1951 as heretofore prepared and duly advertised, and it <br />is herewith ratified, confirmed, and finally adopted by this Board subject to the following <br />provisions. <br />(Board of Pablic Instruction) <br />"No part of this appropriation shall be parable unless and until the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County receives a sum in excess of $56,000.00 from <br />race track funds during the fiscal year 1950-1951; after receipt of $56;900.00 by said <br />County from said source in suc,-fiscal year, an(which sum has been otherwise appropriated, <br />then all sums in excess of $56,000.00 received from such source in such' year shall be paid <br />to the Board of Public Instruction of Indian River County until said Board shall have re- <br />ceived $20000.00 from such source." <br />(Rospital) <br />"No part of this appropriation shall become payable unless and until Indian River <br />County bas received more than $76,000.00 from race track allocations to said County in the <br />fiscal year 1950-1951, and the first $76 000.00 of said_receipts having been otherwise <br />herein appropriated; that upon the receipt of su9 $76,000.00, then any sums received from <br />such source in said fiscal year in excess of 176,000.00 shall be paid to Indian River County <br />Hospita1'Association, Inc., until said Association shall have received said sum of $5,000.00." <br />Motion for the adoption of the Resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously adopted. <br />The Board then proceeded with the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for <br />Indian River County for the year 1950,and, after careful consideration of the estimated re- <br />ceipts and expenditures, the following Resolution was introduced <br />by Commissioner Stewart who <br />moved its adoption, to -wit: <br />WHEREAS, all acts having been performed and all proceedings had as required <br />by lawind preliminary to the levy of taxes in Indian River County, Florida, for the year <br />1950; and, <br />WHERAS, the respective board and taxing districts being authorized to fix and levy <br />taxes upon property situated within Indian River County, Florida, as provided by law, fixed <br />such tax levies and have certified the same to this Board and this Board having considered <br />the same and having then found them to be properherefore, be it resolved that; <br />Estimates having been made by the Board of Commissioners of XNDIAN 1IVER4 ,MOSQUITO <br />CONTROL DISTRICT, and a certified copy of the resolution filed with this Board, as required <br />by law, and as estimated by the Board of Commissioners, it is determined and hereby declared <br />that a tax rate of Six and five -tenths (6.5) mills upon the dollar be levied, and is hereby <br />fixed and assessed for the year 1950, on all of the property taxable for such purpose as <br />provided by law in the County of Indian River, lying and being within the boundaries of said <br />Indian River Mosquito Control District, the boundaries of said District being described as <br />
