123 <br />It was ordefed that Honorable Thad Carleton, Assistant State Attorney, Fort Pierce, <br />Florida, receive the sum of $36.55 per month as pfovided by law. <br />Commissioner Hamilton inquired as to the County Employees and officers together <br />with the salaries being paid and stated the same met with his approval. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Chairman Stewart, and upon motion of <br />Commissioner Waddell seconded by Commissioner Watts and carried, the same were approved. <br />Commissioner Graves made a motion and requested that Chaltman Stewart serve as <br />Chairman of the Road Committee in his place and said request was granted. <br />The Board requested Douglas Baker, Clerk to contact the County Health Department <br />and request an investigation as tb the present T. B. status of Irones Campbell who was seek- <br />ing re-employment with the Road and Bridge Department. <br />E. E. Carter, Road and Bridge Superintendent stated he had contacted Mr. Kjorsvik <br />regarding a suitable location for wayside park near the Sebastian river bridge and stated <br />that Er. Kjorsvik seemed willing to cooperate but wished to obtain information as to the new <br />proposed =right-of-way for U. S. No. 1 in that area. <br />Id <br />03 S PATIENT RESOLUTION <br />Commissioner Hamilton Introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption, <br />tb+wits <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners, in and for Indian River County, Florida, <br />_ in the preservation of human lives, desiring to cooperate in the treatment and cure, if <br />possible, of tuberculosis- patients living within this County, and in order to preserve the <br />public health for its citizens, not infected with tuberculosis, have assisted all tuberculo- <br />sis patients making application to thb% in a financial way, by providing the necessary cost <br />for hospitalizat oon and treatment in the several Tuberculosis Sanatoriums located within the <br />Statef for such period of time, as was prescribed by the attending physician; and <br />4 <br />S. N. Smith, Jr. of the law firm of Mitchell, Smith & Mitchell) was employed as County <br />Attorney for the ensuing year <br />fbr a sum of $150.00 per month. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and <br />unanimously carried, all other County employees and offieers were re-employed salaries <br />remaining the same as follbwss <br />SITIO SALARY PER MONTH <br />E.
