<br />Upon the suggestion of Tom N. Stewart, chairman, the Petition requesting the Board
<br />of County Commissioners to establish a Small Claims Court was referred back to the .Chamber
<br />of Commerce fD± further study in the matter and suggested that a public meeting be called and
<br />the local Attorneys and Merchants be extended an invitation to attend such a meeting for the
<br />purpose of discussing and being informed as to the operation of the Small Claims Courts in
<br />order to determine whether or not they desire such a Court to be established. The Commissioners
<br />previously appointed from the Board were Commissioners Waddell, Graves and Hamilton.
<br />S. N. Smith, Jr., Attorney, reported that Mr. Cates had not vacated the Wabasso
<br />Beach as requested by the Board and suggested a suit be filed in behalf of the County to obtain
<br />possession of the property. Upon motion of Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Watts and carried the Board authorized S. N. Smith Jr., Attorney, to proceed with the file df
<br />the suit.

<br />I) C. P. Diamond, Attorney for Marion Worley, of the County of Indian River State of
<br />Florida, being the owner of Tax Sale Certificate No. 755 dated the 7th day of July 1930, in
<br />the sum of $12.45 covering the following described property, to -wits Lots 20 & 21 Block 2
<br />Vero Beach Estates S/D hereby make application to your'Honorable Body to issue a duplicate
<br />Tax Sale Certificate in lieu of the original described herein for the following reasons:
<br />(1) That said Tax Sale Certificate was purchased by 0. A. Worley, May 8, 1939 in
<br />connection with certificate. No. 4276 of Sept. 4, 1933, for which was paid the sum of $12.45.
<br />(2) That said Tax Sale Certificate, br any interest therein, has not been hypothe-
<br />cated, sold, assigned, transferred or delivered by me and I have received no,consideration
<br />therefor.
<br />(3) That said Tax Sale Certificate has been lost or destroyed and that I have made

<br />of-way for road from South City of Vero Beach limits to the Overhead Bridge on U. S. Highway
<br />No. 1 (State Road No. 5).

<br />Dear Mr. and Mrs. Harding:
<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida! at a meeting on
<br />September 4, 19519 adopted a motion agreeing that the County would move your residence building
<br />situated on the North 40 feet of the South 121 feet of Lot 24 of Palm Addition in Vero Beach,
<br />and set the residence back from the new property line that would be established by your
<br />conveyance of additional right of way to the State Road Department for widening Florida State
<br />Road No. 5 ( U. S. Highway No. 1). In other words, the County will move the building back ons,-
<br />•
<br />the lot at the place you designate and will reestablish the same as it now is on its new
<br />location, all without cost or expense to you, provided you will not execute the deed of con-
<br />veyance to the State Road Department.
<br />This work will be done by the County prior to the completion of the widening of the
<br />road.
