Vice Chairman Solari initiated discussion on seeking a new <br /> County Administrator, in view of the upcoming retirement on <br /> June 30, 2016, of the current County Administrator, Joseph <br /> Baird. <br /> Board deliberations ensued on whether it would be <br /> preferable to hire a qualified individual who is already <br /> employed within the County, or to conduct an external <br /> search. <br /> ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Solari, SECONDED by <br /> Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously directed <br /> staff to report back to the Board within three to four weeks <br /> for further discussion regarding the two avenues for hiring a <br /> new County Administrator: (1) hiring internally with <br /> applicable timeline; and (2) hiring externally, with an <br /> applicable timeline and associated cost, with the caveat that if <br /> an external candidate is selected, the hiring date should be <br /> May 1, 2016. <br /> C.
