Surveying Services <br />(memorandum dated March 28, 2016) <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />(Clerk's Note: This item was heard following Item 12.A.1, <br />and is placed here for continuity). <br />Director of Utilities Vincent Burke provided background <br />and analysis on the petition water assessment project <br />requested by the Collier Creek property owners. He <br />advised that approximately 72.3% of parcel owners are in <br />favor of the project, which would provide potable water <br />and fire protection to the Collier Creek Subdivision. <br />During discussion, Director Burke clarified that there was <br />no cost to the homeowners at this time. If this item is <br />approved by the Board, staff would return with Resolution <br />I to set the preliminary assessment role, and Resolution II <br />to set the time and place for a Public Hearing on this <br />matter. <br />The following speakers advocated for the proposed Water <br />Assessment Project: <br />• Gary Johnston, 738 Holden Avenue <br />• Frank Lamacchia, 722 South Easy Street <br />• Bob Martin, 744 Holden Avenue <br />• Brad Cronin, 208 Chello Avenue <br />• John Johnson, 747 South Easy Street <br />• Al Manzi, 742 Holden Avenue <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Vice Chairman Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />and authorized the Chairman to execute Work Order No. <br />1 with Carter Associates, Inc., as presented, for a lump <br />sum amount of $25,540.00; and authorized staff to move <br />the project to the Design Phase. <br />Board of Couniy Commission Minutes Page 15 <br />April 5, 2016 <br />
