<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida,
<br />met in Regular Session at the Court House at Vero Beach, Indian River County,
<br />Florida. at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on July 21, 1925.
<br />The following members of the Board were present: John H. Atkin, Chairman,
<br />G.A. Braddock, 0.0. Helseth nd J.W. LaBruce. Thera way also present Wiles Warren,
<br />Clerk.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner G.A. Braddock, seconded by Commissioner
<br />C.O. Helseth, the following resolutions were adopted by unanimous vote of all
<br />members of the Board of County Commissioners:
<br />WHEREAS Special Road and Bridge District No. 4 of St. Lucie County,
<br />Florida, was duly and legally created and established by the Board of County
<br />Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, prior to the creation of Indian River
<br />County, Florida, but by the enactment of the law creating Indian River County, Florida,
<br />the territory of the District theretofore known as Special Road and Bridge District
<br />No. 4 of St. Lucie County, Florida, has become a part of Indian River County, Florida;
<br />and whereas the: Dnard of County Commissioners of Indian Aiver County, Florida, does
<br />hereby recognize, declare and adopt the territory of said Spey+al Road_and Bridge
<br />Diatriot as Special Road. and Bridge District No. 4 of Indian hiver County, Florida; and
<br />WHEREAS, in the election held to determine whether or not the territory
<br />embraced in said District should be constituted into a Special Road and Bridge District,
<br />it was also decided that certain roads and bridges be constructed in said District and
<br />paid for by the issue of bonds, and
<br />WHEREAS, in the petition requesting the Board of County Commissioners to
<br />oall an election in the territory which it was then proposed to create into a Special
<br />Road and Bridge Diatrict and which has since been created into a Special Road and Bridge
<br />District, and designate1 as Special Road and Bridge District No. 4, it was stated
<br />that the amount estimated as being meoessary with which to pay for the construction
<br />of said roads and bridges was $490,000; and
<br />SEAS, in the call for the above described election published by order of
<br />the Board of county Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida (the territory comprising
<br />said Special load and Brodge District being then located within St. Lucie County, Flori
<br />it was stated that.if said bonds were authorized to be issued by said election then said
<br />bonds would be issued in denomination of $1,000 each, loped July 1,1925, said bonds to
<br />be numbered from '1" to x'490" both inclusixe, and bear interest at the rate of six per
<br />cent; per annum; payable semi -ani i*ily on the first day of July and the first day of
<br />Januar] of each year. The principal of, said bonds being payable as follows:
<br />ORp bonds on July 1, 1926; two bonds on July 1, 1927; four bonds on July
<br />1, of each of the years 1923 Ltd 1930 ino?usive; nine bonds on July 1 of each of the
<br />years 19a# to 1935 inclusive; fourteen bonds on July 1 of each of the years 1936 to
<br />1940 inclusive; nineteen bonds on July 1 of each of the years 1941 to 1945 inclusive;
<br />twenty-four bonds on July 1 of each of bhe years 1946 to 1950 inclusive; and twenty.nine
<br />bonds on July 1 of each of the years 1951 to 1955 inclusive; and
<br />AREAS', at the date of the filing and preeentatio n of the petition
<br />for the calling of an election to determine whether said Special Road and Bridge Diatriot
<br />Should be created, and whether the roads and bridges described in said petition should
<br />•
<br />be. NV for by the issue, and sale of bonds; and at the date of the passage of the
