<br />The Notary Public bond of Roy L. Kinney, in the sum of $500.00 with R. J. Dunnam
<br />and J H Sutherland, as sureties, was approved
<br />The Justice of the Peace bond of Y. M. Miller, as Justice in District No. 1, in
<br />the sum of $500.00 with David Rose and Paul Kroegel, as sureties, was approved.
<br />The Notary Public bond of Hugh D Keffer in the sum of $500.00 with the American
<br />Surety Company of New York, a corporation, was approved.
<br />The Notary Public bond of A. W. Young, in the sum of $500 00 with the American
<br />Surety Company, of New York, a corporation was approved.
<br />It was ordered that the County lease to St Lucie County, Florida, all convicts
<br />at and for the prise sum of $10 00 per month per prisoner.
<br />It rias ordered that the County Engineer be empowered to employ a County Road
<br />Superittendent at a salary not to exceed $200 00 per month.
<br />On motion duly made, by Commissioner LaBruce, and seconded by Commissioner Braa-
<br />dook the following resolution was proposed for adoption:
<br />RESOLUTION.
<br />Be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Flo-
<br />rida, sk in regular session assembled on the 4th day of August A D 1925, that
<br />:SAS, An Act of the Legislature of the State of Florida, for the year 1925,
<br />duly signed by the Governor, provides for the creation and incorporation of a Special
<br />taxing district in Brevard Couuty, Florida, and St Lucie County, Florida, to be known
<br />and designated as Fellsmere Cross State Road District, prescribing the boundaries
<br />thereof; Providing for the Government and Administration of said liatrict; Defining
<br />the powers and purposes of bald district, and of the Board of Commissioners thereof; to.
<br />authorize said Board to construct, improve and maintain a road across the St Johns
<br />harsh; to provide for the acquiring of property or condemnation thereof for district
<br />purposes; to Provide for the levy and collection of taxes for district purposes; to
<br />Authorise future levies and assessments; to Authorize said Board to borrow money and
<br />issue and sell bonds; to Procure money to carry out the provisions of this Act; to
<br />Prevent injury to works constructed under this Act, and to provide penalties therefor;
<br />to Provide for the holding of election for issues of borate in an amount not to
<br />exceed $4,000,000.00; to Provide for continuity of District in event of change of
<br />County organization and generally to provide for the construction, maintenance and
<br />improvement of said road in said District.
<br />It is provided among other things that ePid Act shall not take effect until an
<br />election shall be held within certain territory described in said Act, at which electio
<br />only registered votes residing in said District who own real or personal property as
<br />shown by the Assessment Roll for the year 1925 in the office of the County Tax Collectors
<br />of the respective counties, shall be allowed to vote, and providing further for the
<br />election for the offices of three commissioners; the boundaries of said Fellamere
<br />Cross State Road District, formerly in St. Lucie County, Florida, and new Indian River
<br />County, Florida, provided by said Act being as follows:
<br />Begin where the waters edge of Atlantic Ocean intersects the line between Township
<br />30 and 31, thence Westerly along the North boundary of Indian River County, to the
