a: • Barker & Williams Air Conditioning $3200.00 Holtzclaw Electric $3244.10 On motion of !Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Watts and carried, the Board accepted the low bid of Barker & Williams in the sum of $3200.00. Notary Public. Bond for Jack Tierney in the sum of $500.00 with American Surety Company of New York, as surety, was approved by Douglas Baker, Clerk Circuit Court, as provided by law. Mr. Bruce Ryalls and Mr. Hopp, residents of Sebastian, appeared bef6re the Board and requested the road south of Sebastian known as the Old Dixie Highway be repaired. The Board advised that plans had been made to do this work and the same would be completed within four weeks from this date. A letter was received from Sheriff O'Steen to cancel the appointment of L. W. Silsby, Deputy Sheriff, as Mr. Silsby was no longer a Deputy Sheriff and the same was ordered filed with the Clerk. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by 'Commissioner Hamilton and carriedo the Board authorized payment of $75.00 to Mrs. Louis Harris, Jr., Supervisor of Registration, for expenses in attending the Supervisors of Registration meeting to be held in St. Petersburg on August 15th and 16th, 1952. On motion of Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Watts and carried, Attorney Smith was requested to write to each member of the County Planning and Zoning Board asking for their resignation in order that new members could be appointed so that an active organization might be formed. Pursuant to.Resolution adopted July 1, 1952, regarding the use of 20 acres of land for the Vero Beach Chapter of the Future Farmers of America, and on motion of Commissioner Warren, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and carried, the Board agreed to lease the land for a period of ten years on the basis of $1.00 per year, payable in advance and Attorney Smith was instructed to prepare the lease for execution. te� �dL`4 K,_V. lerk Baker was instructed to furnish the Board with information regarding the present status of a east and west bridgeheads relating to the old Winter Beach Bridge, also information as to the status of the lease agreement between the County and N. V. Eve. At the request of Mrs. Joe S. Earman, of the State'Welfard Board, and Mrs. Marquis, District Welfare Supervisor, the Board agreed to appropriate $1200.00 in the 1952=1953 Budget for Child Welfare Mork. Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker, appeared before the Board and made a report of her activities for the month of July, 1952, and said report was filed with the Clerk. Mr. Cy Cruze appeared before the Board in protest of a proposed truck route near, his property. Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector, appeared before the Board and filed E & I lists of real and personal property for the year 1951 and the same were approved by the Board The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and found correct, were approved and warrants issued'in settlement of same. Such bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so • issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided by the rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes.
