Chandler, Administrator <br /> i <br /> FROM : Nathan McCollum, Acting Director <br /> Department of Emergency Services : <br /> DATE : September 24 , 2001 <br /> SUBJECT : Approval of Renewal for a Class "E" Certificate of Public Convenience and <br /> Necessity For Indian River Memorial Hospital to Provide Wheelchair/Stretcher <br /> Services . <br /> On October 5 , 1999, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved a renewal <br /> of Class "E" Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Indian River Memorial Hospital to <br /> provide Wheelchair/Stretcher medical transportation originating within Indian River County . This <br /> certificate was necessary in order to comply with Indian River Code of Laws and Ordinances as <br /> specified in Chapter 304 . The certificate was approved and renewed for a period of two ( 2 ) years and <br /> will expire October 5 , 2001 , and the renewal process should be accomplished prior to that date . <br /> The Indian River County Code provides for routine renewal of the EMS Certificate of Public <br /> Convenience and Necessity on an application by the certificate holder.
