BOWLES, P.E. <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: KING'S BAPTIST CHURCH <br />OFF -S11 h L 11LTTIES CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT <br />T <br />WIP NO. 472-000-169-542 <br />APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 & REQUEST FOR FINAL PAYMENT <br />134CKGROTTNn• <br />On January 22, 2002 the Board of County Commissioners entered into a Developer's Agreement with <br />King's Baptist Church in the amount of $364,266.09 to provide an off-site force main to serve the above <br />referenced project and other future connections. The project is now complete and the Department of Utility <br />Services is prepared to make final payment to the Developer. <br />AN4LYSTC• <br />The Developer was previously paid $305,454.10 for 84% of the original cost. Tne bid quantities used <br />during the bidding process are based on estimated quantities. Application for Final Payment adjusts the <br />estimated bid quantities based on actual quantities installed. The final payment results in a net decrease of <br />$15,913.09. Final Payment is presented as Attachment -A. <br />The final payment results in a 4.4% decrease to the originally approved contract and adjusts the final <br />contract amount to $348,353 00. Utilities staff is now requesting final payment to King's Baptist Church in the <br />amount of $42,898.90. This final payment amount includes the Developer's contribution of $10,455.51 for line <br />extension fees, to be paid prior to Certificate of Occupancy, and the release of all retainage held. <br />RF CO'YIMFND 4TTON• <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve Final Payment including all retainage held in the total amount of $42.898.90 to King's Baptist Church <br />as presented in Attachment A <br />32 <br />Loa <br />OCTOBER 22, 2002 <br />
