Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners review the options presented above and make a <br />recommendation to staff for funding the voting system. <br />Attachments <br />• Current Sales Tax Program Summary of <br />Revenues and Expenses (@ 10/18/01) <br />• Option 1 - Sales Tax Program Summary <br />• Option 2 - Sales Tax Program Summary <br />• Option 3 - Sales Tax Program Summary <br />• Voting Machine Costs - Revenue Analysis <br />• Redistribution of $1,700,000 Funding <br />Supervisor of Elections Kay Clem thanked the Board for its vote to allow her to <br />negotiate a contract with Sequoia Voting Systems and noted that she is pleased to report that <br />County Administrator Jim Chandler and Assistant County Administrator Joe Baird had been <br />able to reduce the cost of the contract to $1,999,950, which is a reduction of %2 million <br />dollars.
