Rene Renzi also opposed the change and asked the Board to keep the control they <br />have now. <br />Ralph Evans, 1420 Shorelands Drive, distributed a handout (COPY OF WHICH <br />IS ON FILE WITH THE BACKUP FOR TODAY'S MEETING) and spoke in favor of <br />the change. He believed that every permitted use should be reviewed only by staff and <br />"findings of fact" should be issued to explain why a plan is not approved when it is not. <br />Jim Egan was opposed to the change. <br />George Watson, Economic Development Director, Chamber of Commerce, <br />invited everyone to the Economic Development Tour next Friday and pointed out that we <br />are not talking about large projects. This is a very small change to better attract small <br />industries. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard regarding this matter. <br />There being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board, <br />by a 4-1 vote (Chairman Ginn opposed) adopted <br />Ordinance 2001-032 regarding the threshold for <br />staff -level approval of major site plans, amending <br />the following chapter of the Land Development <br />Regulations (LDRs); Chapter 914, Site Plan <br />Review and Approval Procedures. <br />OCTOBER 23, 2001 <br />-63- <br />t2 13 `J <br />
