Y, <br />Z { _ <br />x ..r re, v�Ye'p°:.S3s` LMYr,_ - `'�?� i 'x�,¢;yt�rdiM .k-. ri'w r.�€,w_yr�sy• t .Et.s'.. i. � %z' .�S+tk'q'Av 'ir"6,��„"k ^�na3¢ $ k�Yd,'rs- ,� h 5.�. �' <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Lowther the BCC unanimously (4-0, Commissioner <br />Ginn absent), authorized County Attorney Will Collins to work <br />with Sebastian Inlet Tax District Attorney Clifton McClelland to <br />draft a resolution that will provide expansion of the Sebastian Inlet <br />Tax District permit to place sand on sites other than the County's <br />Beach Restoration project and stipulate that action is not an <br />admission of fault in the court cases. <br />Discussion continued and BCC Commissioner Adams welcomed communication and <br />involvement from the Sebastian Inlet Tax District and asked them to bring forth all the <br />advantages and disadvantages of their issues regarding the sand transfer plan and move forward <br />as a team. <br />SITD Chairman Glover concurred and asked Commissioner Adams what options she <br />favored. <br />BCC Commissioner Adams said she did not have any favorites, but unequivocally did not <br />want the Inlet closed. <br />SITD Chairman Glover stated they all felt the same way and believed that government <br />needs to work together to save taxpayers' money so all can benefit from sharing. <br />BCC Chairman Macht said they have a great interest in seeing the sand transfer plant <br />work but understands that it is the taxing district's responsibility to come up with a design that <br />works and to manage the operation of it. <br />SITD Chairman Glover said they have a sand transfer plant in service now and they <br />need to look at other options. <br />BCC Commissioner Adams disagreed with BCC Chairman Macht that the sand transfer <br />plant is the District's total responsibility.
