R E S O L U T I O N -- Approving 1952 Tax Roll
<br />Commissioner Hamilton introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption
<br />as follows, to -wit:
<br />WHEREAS, due notice by publication thereof has been given that the County Assessor
<br />of taxes of Indian River County, Florida, would meet with the Board of County Commissioners on
<br />the 5th day of August, 1952, and would at such time present the tax assessment roll of said County
<br />for the year 1952 for equalization as will appear by proof of publication of such notice re-
<br />corded in the minutes of Atigust 5!,'1952.; aid,
<br />WHEREAS, pursuantto such notice, the said County Tax Assessor did meet with the
<br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, on the 5th day of August, 1952,
<br />at the hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M. in the Clerk's office in the Indian River County Courthouse,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida, at which time it was determined that the tax assessment roll of said County
<br />for the year 1952 was not complete and thereupon the said Board did adjourn to August 11, 1952,
<br />at 9:00 o'clock A.M. and at said last mentioned date the said County Tax Assessor did meet with
<br />the Board of County Commissioners in the Clerk's Office in the,Indian River County Courthouse,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida, and did present the tax assessment roll of said County for the year 1952 and
<br />the Board of County Commissioners has at this time convened as a Board of Equalization for the
<br />purpose of examining said roll and of receiving complaints and testimony with re,
<br />g_ar d to the same
<br />and with reguard to the value of any property, real or personal, as fixed by the County Assessor
<br />of taxes upon such roll; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has received such complaints and such
<br />testimony offered, if any, and has examined and reviewed said assessment roll and has found it
<br />unnecessary to increase the valuation of any property shown thereon and has found such assessment
<br />roll to be correct; Now, therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County,
<br />Florida, does herewith find the tax assessment roll of said County as presented for the year
<br />1952 to be equal and just and does herewith approve, ratify and confirm the same.
<br />UlDon being dull seconded by Commissioner Warren the same was unanimously ado ed.
<br />This Board,'sitting as a Board of EqualizAtion, then adjourned and reconvened in
<br />regular adjourned session.
<br />'The Clerk of the Circuit Court (County Auditor) after tentatively ascertaining
<br />the proposed fiscal policies of the Board for the ensuing fiscal year, from the 1st day of Octo-
<br />ber, 1952, to the 30th day of September, 1953, prepared and presented to the Board a tentative
<br />Budget for the ensuing fiscal year for each of the funds, as provided in Chapter 26874, Laws of
<br />1951, including all estimated receipts, taxes to be levied, and balances expected to be brought
<br />forward, and all estimated expenditures, reserves and balances to be carried over to the end of
<br />the year, were ordered spread upon the minutes of the Board and transmit two copies of each of
<br />the tentative budget to the Comptroller of the State of Florida, said copies to be certified by
<br />the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners and by the County Auditor as a true and correct
<br />copy of the Budget as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners and the original to be filed
<br />as part of the records of the County, and is in words and figures as follows:
