Cox, P.E., Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot 16, Block 16, <br />Vero Lake Estates Unit 3 <br />REFERENCE: Project No. 2001120055-29425 <br />DATE: December 27, 2001 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Janice Kuhns has submitted a building permit application for a single family residence on the subject <br />property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone, base flood elevation 22.3 ft. <br />N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant's engineer dated November 14, 2001 a waiver of <br />the cut and fill requirements is requested The lot area is 1.08 acres. The volume of the 100 year <br />floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is estimated to be 298.4 cubic yards. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots located in the <br />Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />January 15, 2002 <br />11 <br />i <br />
