WHEREAS , Gail has been employed with Indian River County since May 4 , 1987 . During her tenure <br /> with the County, Gail began as a Secretary in the Probation Office. Then in 1988 , she was promoted to <br /> Secretary III and transferred to the Public Works Department, Engineering Division. In 1997 , Gail was <br /> promoted once again and became a Traffic Technician with the Traffic Engineering Division, which is the <br /> position she holds today ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Gail has always received excellent or above average evaluations ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Gail has played a lead role in organizing the records of the Traffic Engineering Division; <br /> in particular, the traffic accident reports and computerized summaries . Gail prepared annual accident <br /> summaries, cross-referenced by accident location, frequency and rate. These summaries were of immense <br /> value to the County and assisted in the installation of traffic signals and other traffic safety measures . Gail <br /> often worked long hours to ensure that reports were completed quickly and accurately; and <br /> WHEREAS , Gail has been both a citizen and a public servant striving for the betterment of both the <br /> community and its environment through her long years of unselfish service to the public ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board expresses their deep appreciation for the dedicated <br /> service Gail Kemp has given to Indian River County over the past thirteen years ; <br /> The Public Works Department of Indian River County wishes to express their appreciation to Gail for <br /> an outstanding career on behalf of Indian River County and extend our heartfelt wishes for her success in her <br /> future endeavors . <br /> Dated this 16`h day of January 2001 . <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br /> BY <br /> Caroline Ginn, ONairman <br /> JANUARY 16 , 202KI P G7 <br /> - 10 - <br />
