MISCELLANEOUS BUDGETAMENDMEA'T # 008 <br /> The Board reviewed a Memorandum of January 10 , 2001 : <br /> TO : Members of the Board <br /> of County Commissioners <br /> DATE : January 10 , 2001 <br /> SUBJECT : Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 008 <br /> THROUGH : Joseph A . Baird <br /> Assistant County Administrator <br /> FROM : Jason E . Brown <br /> Budget Manager <br /> l <br /> Description And Conditions <br /> The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following : <br /> 1 . The Indian River County Libraries have received a total of $ 12 , 256 in donations . The <br /> attached entry appropriates these funds . <br /> 2 . Digital aerial photography is needed to improve the County' s GIS database . County <br /> staff has reached an agreement with the Property Appraiser' s office to split the cost of <br /> this project , since this will benefit both agencies . The total cost should be about <br /> $ 30 , 000 , and the County' s portion is 50 % or $ 15 , 000 . This will provide better digital <br /> images for the entire County east of the St . John ' s Marsh . Funding will come from <br /> General Fund contingencies . <br /> 3 . On January 9 , 2001 the Board of Commissioners approved various expenditures under <br /> the Emergency Management Performance Grant ( EMPG ) , which was formerly called <br /> the State and Local Agreement . The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount <br /> of $ 33 , 775 , as approved by the Board . <br /> 4 . Computer Services needs to purchase additional equipment and servers for the <br /> County ' s network system . The attached entry approves funding from General Fund <br /> contingencies for $ 16 , 600 . <br /> 5 . On October 3 , 2000 , the Board of Commissioners approved a grant agreement with the <br /> Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission . This grant provides $ 20 , 000 for evaluating fish <br /> populations on four artificial reefs built in 2000 . The attached entry appropriates the <br /> use of these funds . <br /> 6 . On January 9 , 2001 , the Board of Commissioners approved a public official bond for <br /> incoming Sheriff Roy Raymond .
