Brown <br />Budget Manager <br />Description and Conditions <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. Each year, it is necessary to "rollover" or move funds forward for various capital projects for the <br />County. These projects include road construction, parks and recreation facilities, building additions, <br />etc. The attached entry moves the necessary funds forward to the current year. <br />2. On December 18, 2001, the Board of Commissioners approved funding a bid to host the Florida <br />Law Enforcement Games in 2003-2004. This contribution of $15,000 will be provided by Tourist <br />Development Tax cash forward. <br />On December 18, 2001. The Board of Commissioners approved funding the installation of an 800 <br />MHz Multisite Controller and Console Electronics Controller at a total cost of $27,710. Funding will <br />be provided by General Fund contingencies. <br />4. Emergency Management received a Local Mitigation Strategy Grant during the 2000/01 fiscal year. <br />This project is ongoing in the current year. The attached entry moves the remaining funds forward. <br />5. On October 23, 2001, the Board of Commissioners approved payment for applications for tax deed <br />fees and costs in the amount of $10,900. The attached entry appropriates funding from General <br />Fund contingencies. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Budget Amendment 003, as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />January 8, 2002 <br />29 <br />G <br />
