Gorham, Ph.Ds.z// <br />E nvironmental Analyst J((' <br />SUBJECT: Dial Cordy and Associates <br />Contract Amendment No.1 <br />DATE: December 28, 2001 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Dial Cordy and Associates is currently under contract with the <br />county for the preparation of an Environmental Assessment, required <br />for Federal permitting under the National Environmental Policy Act, <br />for the Sectors 1&2 beach renourishment project. This Contract <br />Amendment, in the amount of $174,951.00, includes the preparation <br />o f Environmental Impact Statements for the permitting of beach <br />✓ enourishment Sectors 7, 3, and 5. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends the approval of Contract Amendment No. 1 to the <br />contract with Dial Cordy and Associates, Inc. Funding is from <br />t he Beach Preservation Fund 128-144-572. Sectors 3 and 5 expenses <br />are eligible for 50/50 cost sharing with the State DEP. Sector 7 <br />e xpenses do not qualify for State cost sharing due to lack of <br />public access. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Contract Amendment No. 1 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Amendment No. 1 to the contract with Dial Cordy and <br />Associates, Inc., in the amount of $174,951.00, as recommended <br />in the memorandum. <br />January 8, 2002 <br />83 <br />BK I <br />• <br />
