DESIGNATING NOVEMBER 18 - 24, 2001, AS <br />CHRISTIAN HERITAGE WEEK IN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, during the season and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, it is right and just to <br />recognize the contributions and sacrifices of our Founding Fathers; and <br />WHEREAS, the preamble of the Constitution of the State of Florida provides: "We, <br />the people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional <br />liberty, in order to secure its benefits, perfect our government, insure domestic tranquility, <br />maintain public order, and guarantee equal civil and political rights to all...."; and <br />WHEREAS, the Constitution of the State of Florida guarantees the free exercise of <br />religion, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners opens its meetings with an <br />invocation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that the week of November 18-24, 2001, be known, <br />designated, and set aside. as <br />CHRISTIAN HERITAGE WEEK <br />in Indian River County, in recognition of the American Family Association's contribution to <br />the quality of life in Indian River County. <br />Adopted this 13th day of November, 2001. <br />November 1372001 <br />CI <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Caroline D.
