BACKGROUND: <br />Hams Corp. - GCSD, owns and operates a domestic wastewater treatment facility permitted as the <br />1025 West Nasa Boulevard, Mail Stop 45, Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. Attached herewith is an <br />Agreement for Treatment and Disposal of Domestic Wastewater Residuals. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The County operates and maintains a publicly -owned Residual Management Facility, (dewatering <br />facility), at the Central Regional WWTF, Florida Permit Number FLA -010434-001, which is capable of <br />accepting domestic wastewater residuals from outside sources. The facility has been given approval, and <br />is operating under Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) permit, in compliance with <br />Florida Administrative Code, (FAC), Chapter 62-640, to properly treat and dispose of domestic <br />wastewater residuals. <br />The Customer, (Harris Corp. - GCSD.) is required to engage the services of a licensed, insured hauler <br />to bring the wastewater residuals from Hams Corp. Facility to the Central Regional WWTF for treatment. <br />Hams Corp. will be charged the prevailing rates as shown on the Schedule of Water and Sewer Rates, <br />Fees, and Charges, attached to the Agreement and labeled "Exhibit A". <br />RFCOMNIENDaTIONS: <br />The Staff of the Department of Utilities Services recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve the attached Domestic Wastewater Residual Agreement as presented, and <br />authorize the Chairman to execute the same. <br />sjd`,jhd <br />Attachments <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY Vice <br />Chairman Stanbridge, the Board unanimously approved the proposed <br />Domestic Wastewater Residual Agreement with Harris Corporation., <br />as presented, and authorized the Chairman to execute the same, as <br />recommended in the memorandum. <br />I {; <br />AGREEMENT Nit!i!-B£ ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />7.K.
