Davis, <br />Public Works Director <br />58th Avenue Right -of -Way Acquisition - Red Stick Golf Club <br />November 3, 2000 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached contract provides for the County purchasing=1.026 aces <br />of Kings Highway additional future right-of-way along the <br />constructed Red Stick Golf Club The selling price is <br />acre for M-1 Land Use Plan Density (8 units per acre). <br />$20,520. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />newly <br />$20,000 per <br />The cost is <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Purchase the land at this time for future right-of-way. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Do not purchase the land and allow golf course improvements,which <br />could result in a much higher value when needed. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends Alternative No.1 whereby the Chairman is <br />authorized to execute the contract for purchase and purchase the <br />land at this time. <br />Funding to be from 1t Local Option Sales Tax - Fund 315-214-541- <br />066.12. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge, the <br />Board, by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Ginn absent) <br />unanimously approved the contract and authorized <br />the Chairman to execute same, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />NOVEMBER 14, 2000 <br />-112- <br />BK 116 PG 124 <br />
