4. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY <br />ITEMS <br />Acting Chairman Macht advised Item 5, a Proclamation for North County Aquatic <br />Complex Day would be added. He further advised that Item 10, which was to have been <br />deleted, would be heard and Administrator Chandler advised that staff was prepared to make <br />a presentation on that matter. <br />There was no objection made to the above changes to the agenda. <br />5. PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS - NORTH COUNTY <br />AQUATIC COMPLEX DAY NOVEMBER 30, 2002 <br />Commissioner Adams read the following proclamation into the record. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING NOVEMBER 30, 2002, AS <br />NORTH COUNTY AQUATIC COMPLEX DAY <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Commissioners and residents have <br />recognized the need for community swimming and recreation facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the County Commission had the vision to provide aquatic facilities <br />to serve toddlers through senior citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the North County Aquatic Complex will provide programs for County <br />residents and visitors, r isor <br />s, and <br />WHEREAS, the North County <br />meter pool, diving well with one and three <br />concession center and locker rooms and <br />Aquatic Complex includes an eight lane fifty <br />meter diving boards, a zero depth activity pool, <br />WHEREAS, this facility provides opportunities for recreational swimming, <br />lessons, instructional classes and competitive events. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF •COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that November 30, 2002 be <br />designated as <br />NORTH COUNTY AQUATIC COMPLEX DAY <br />in Indian River County, and the Board encourages all County residents and visitors to <br />participate in the ceremonies and activities beginning at 11:00 a.m. on November 30, 2002, <br />to celebrate the opening of the facility for their health and enjoyment. <br />November 19, 2002 <br />2 <br />r' <br />b <br />
