NEUBERGER - DISCUSSION <br />REGARDING INSTRUCTING THE COUNTY'S RECREATION <br />COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER AND REVIEW CITY OF VERO <br />BEACH/INDIAN RIVER COUNTY RECREATION SPLIT - INCLUDE <br />CITY OF VERO BEACH RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of November 8, 2002: <br />November 8, 2002 <br />1 request the following items be placed en the <br />County Commission Agenda, November 19, 2002 <br />1. Discussion of reviving the Emergency Services District Advisory Committee to <br />study Dual Certification for District employees. <br />2. Discussion of repeal of Indian River County Code Section 103.02 (9) <br />regarding County Commissioners chairing committees and boards. <br />3. Discuss instructing the County Recreation Committee to consider and review <br />the City/Ccunfiy recreation department split. (lnciude the City of Vero Beach <br />recreation committee) <br />• <br />Arthur R. Neuberger <br />County Commissioner E'ect <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Neuberger, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lowther to ask the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee to consider the split of City and County <br />parks and recreation departments/programs. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Ginn pointed out that the Board of County <br />Commissioners had already set policy on this issue. <br />Commissioner Adams explained that this matter was taken to the committee and the <br />Board had made a decision and Commissioner Neuberger did not agree with the Board's <br />decision. <br />November 19, 2002 <br />69 <br />E <br />• <br />• <br />
