DESIGNATING NOVEMBER 19 - 259 2000, AS <br /> CHRISTIAN HERITAGE WEEK IN <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br /> WHEREAS, during the season and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, it is right and just to <br /> recognize the contributions and sacrifices of our Founding Fathers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the preamble of the Constitution of the State of Florida provides, 'We, the <br /> people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional liberty, in <br /> order to secure its benefits, perfect our government, insure domestic tranquility, maintain <br /> public order, and guarantee equal civil and political rights to all . . . ;' and <br /> WHEREAS, the Constitution of the State of Florida guarantees the free exercise of <br /> religion; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners opens its meetings with an invocation, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br /> Indian River County, Florida, that the week of November 19=25, 2000, be known, designated, <br /> CHRISTIAN HERITAGE WEEK <br /> in Indian River County, in recognition of the American Family Association's contribution to the <br /> quality of life in Indian River County. <br /> Adopted this 21st day of November, 2000. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,/nFLORIDA <br /> , <br /> K w- �A ( )60, z2� <br /> Fran B.
