This house has gone through the whole condemnation process with all proper <br />notifications and, in his professional opinion, it is not feasible to repair it. <br />Commissioner Adams thought perhaps Ms. Browning was not receiving the <br />notifications, but Director Russ specified that she was the owner when the ?rocess began <br />and she was sent the notices. <br />In response to Ms. Browning's inquiry, Director Keating advised that she could not <br />put a double -wide mobile home on that lot but could put a modular home there. <br />Chairman Macht suggested Ms. Browning tear the house down and get a mortgage <br />to build a new place. <br />In response to Chairman Macht's inquiry, Emergency Services Director John King <br />advised it would not be possible to burn it down as a training exercise because the <br />Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements actually would cost the property <br />owner more than demolition. <br />MOTION WAS AMENDED by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lowther, to approve staff s <br />recommendation with the exception of the Browning residence <br />and that Ms. Browning be given 60 days to pull a permit to <br />demolish the structure and 90 days to have it demolished. If <br />that is not done, the County will demolish it and lien the <br />property for costs. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />amended motion carried unanimously.
