7.0. Employment Agreement with Assistant County Attorney Marian <br />E. Fell <br />(CLERK'S NOTE This item separated from Consent Agenda for discussion.) <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 30, 2002: <br />To: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />Date: October 30, 2002 <br />Subject: Contract for Assistant County Attorney <br />From. Ruth M. Stanbridge <br />Chairman <br />Attached is the contract I have negotiated with the Assistant County Attorney, Marian E. <br />Fell. <br />County Attorney, Paul Bangel, conducted a salary survey of similar positions in the same <br />size counties and determined that the increase is very much in line I reviewed the <br />diversity and complexity of the projects completed, in progress, and under review, and feel <br />we are fortunate to have a person with her years of experience in this position. Without <br />this expertise, many of these projects would have needed to be outsourced and could have <br />been very expensive. <br />Recommend placing this contracts on the Consent Agenda for the November 5, 2002 <br />commission meeting. <br />Attachment <br />County Attorney Bangel asked if anyone objected to moving this item to the end of <br />the agenda, but Commissioner Adams wanted the matter considered before they moved on <br />to the rest of the day's agenda. <br />Commissioner Adams was concerned about the increase being proposed for Ms. Fell <br />because it seemed to be excessive and was unfair to the rest of the County employees.
