<br /> RELEASE OF RETAINAGE FOR WORK COMPLETED TO DATE
<br /> BACKGROUND
<br /> On November 16 , 1999 , the Board of County Commissioners authorized professional services for the
<br /> design, permitting and construction services with Falcon Properties, Ltd. (See Attachment-A) The total
<br /> approved cost for the subject project was $ 1 , 105 , 1.30. 567 of which the County had agreed to pay $981 ,586 .
<br /> The project is now complete and the Department of Environmental Protection has issued clearance to begin
<br /> connecting customers. All final checklist items have been received and the Department of Utility Services is
<br /> now prepared to make final payment to the Contractor.
<br /> ANALYSIS
<br /> Falcon Properties , Inc . has been paid $707 , 937 . 57 for utility work performed to date . The work
<br /> performed to date includes design, permitting and construction services . Utilities is now requesting the
<br /> approval of the Pay Request dated October 16, 2001 , which is for the release of final payment inclusive of
<br /> all retainage held, totaling $ 68 ,374 . 24 .
<br /> RECOMMENDATION
<br /> The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County Commissioners
<br /> approve the attached Final Pay Request as indicated in Attachment-B as presented.
<br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams ,
<br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge , the
<br /> Board unanimously approved the final Pay Request
<br /> for Falcon Properties , Ltd . , as recommended by
<br /> staff.
