ACTING VICE CHAIRMAN GINN - COMMENT ON THE <br />RED TIDE <br />Acting Vice Chairman Ginn asked the Board to direct the Public Works Department <br />to formulate an emergency measure when problems of this nature occur to get the smelly fish <br />and algae off the beaches because of their negative effect on tourism. <br />Discussion ensued. Concerns were mentioned about putting staff In harm's way. <br />There was CONSENSUS to direct staff to develop an emergency response plan to <br />take care of the Red Tide problem. <br />14.B. SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that immediately upon adjournment, the Board would <br />reconvene as the Board of Commissioners of the Solid. Waste Disposal District.
