The grant was originally obtained by the City of Sebastian. The original site the city looked at w:s <br />not chosen due to it being in a residential neighborhood and council did not approve the Location. <br />The city turned the project over to the county. County staff had to start from scratch to find a <br />Iocation. Since that time, county staff" has located a site, identified wetiands area, researched <br />environmental impacts, designed construction plans, and made permit application with the stat: <br />agencies. The project still needs to obtain a FEMA Permit, which a consulting firm is processing. <br />Engineering Division stafianticipates aspring construction start date. Construction should not take <br />more than b0 calendar days.
