PUBLIC HEARING - RESOLUTION NO. 2002-119 - <br />ABANDONMENT OF THE PORTION OF 78TH COURT BETWEEN <br />133RD PLACE AND 134TH STREET REQUESTED BY FRANK <br />CATALA <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Planning Division Director Stan Boling reviewed the memorandum using a site <br />sketch. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. <br />Brian Heady, Vero Beach, commented that requests such as this occur frequently <br />and suggested that the County, rather than abandoning a right-of-way, should think about <br />giving a 99 -year lease as is done in New York. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Acting Vice Chairman Ginn, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution No. 2002-119 providing for the closing, <br />abandonment, vacation and discontinuance of that portion of <br />78th Court between 133`d Place and 134th Street and reserving a <br />20' wide drainage and utility and easement in the center of the <br />right-of-way, said land lying in Indian River County, Florida. <br />December 17, 2002 <br />13 <br />
