Z B. PROCLAMATION HONORING ROBERT A. VALENTINE ON HIS <br />RETIREMENT FROM INDIAN RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY SER VICES <br />DEPARTMENT <br />The Chairman entered the following Proclamation into the record: <br />HONORING ROBERT (BOB) A.VALENTfNE ON HIS RETIREMENT <br />FROM INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 27, 2001 <br />WHEREAS, BOB VALENTINE has announced his retirement as Equipment Mechanic III to the <br />Department of Emergency Services effective December 27, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, BOB VALENTINE has been employed with Indian River County since April 22, 1981 <br />where he was first hired as a General Equipment Mechanic within the Public Works Department and <br />in October 1983 his position was reclassified to General Equipment Mechanic II. A 1988 Wage <br />Study reclassified his position to General Equipment Mechanic III. On March 23, 1990 he <br />transferred to the Department of Emergency Services, EMS Division, as an Equipment Mechanic <br />II and in June of 1996, once again his position was reclassified to Equipment Mechanic III which <br />is the position he holds today; and <br />WHEREAS, BOB VALENTINE has been very dedicated to governmental service; and he has <br />maintained Emergency Medical Services' vehicles expeditiously to ensure that operations ran more <br />smoothly and efficiently; and <br />WHEREAS, BOB VALENTINE will be remembered by his coworkers for being available evenings <br />and weekends to make repairs to Emergency Medical Service Ambulances when needed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board expresses its deep appreciation for the <br />dedicated service BOB VALENTINE has given to Indian River County over the past 20 years; and <br />The Board and staff of the Department of Emergency Services wish to express their appreciation to <br />Bob for an outstanding career on behalf of local government and extend our heartfelt wishes for his <br />success in his future endeavors. <br />Adopted this 18° day of December 2001 <br />DECEMBER 18, 2001 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />-14- <br />Caroline D.
