Chandler, County Administrator <br />Thomas Frame, General Services Director <br />FROM: Fran Powell, Purchasing Managerj� <br />SUBJECT: Bid Award: IRC # 4031 Annual Bid for Pest Control Services <br />General Services Department / Buildings and Grounds Division <br />BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br />Bid Opening Date: November 7, 2001 at 2:00 P.M <br />Advertising Dates: October 24 and 31, 2001 <br />Mailed Bid Documents to: Thirty (30) Vendors notified <br />Replies: Seven (7) Vendors <br />BID TABULATION <br />SEE ATTACHED BID TABULATION <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends awarding this bid as follows: <br />• Award to Tropic Pest Control Service Inc. as the lowest and most responsive bidder meeting <br />the specifications as set forth in the Invitation to Bid. <br />• Establish an Open End Contract for the period October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002 <br />with recommended vendor. Last years expenditures totaled $8,900.00. The new year bid <br />prices reflect a 2% increase against the 2000 prices of Bid # 7001.
