ANALYSIS : The Wastewater Treatment Facilities currently treat in excess of 3 . 121 gallons of raw sewage per day . Since the commissioning of these facilities , certain operational and mechanical improvements have been made by the operating staff to the facilities lo reduce the operating cost of these facilities . Staff has recognized that an additional piece of equipment would assist in daily operations by reducing the amount of timet e operator needs to spend in the lab and it would continue to modernize the facilities . Tf e County uses Hach Turbidity and Chlorine Analyzers at four of its Wastewater Treatme it Facilities to meet Florida Department of Environmental Protection permit reuse requirements with a total of 12 analyzers . Staff has found Hach Co . products to be very reliable equipment and the Hach Co . service representative very responsive . Ha h. Company has offered Indian River County a discount price on a Suspended Solids Turbidity Analyzer.
