AWARD OF BID FOR BIOSOLIDS FACILITY <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan, <br />SECONDED by Vice Chairman Flescher, to approve <br />staff's recommendation. <br />3e be Aas <br />Commissioner O'Bryan commented that he was pleased to see the winning bid had <br />been awarded to a Vero Beach company. <br />Director Erik Olson, at the request of Vice Chairman Flescher, provided a brief <br />update on the project, its importance, and acknowledged the project to be a fulfilled commitment. <br />Freddie Woolfork, 4590 57th Avenue, thanked Director Olson and his staff, on <br />behalf of the Progressive Civic League of Gifford, for keeping his promise to the citizens. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the Motion <br />carried unanimously. The Board: (1) approved the bid <br />award for the Biosolids Facility to Summit Construction <br />Management Inc., of Vero Beach for $4,687,578.00; <br />(2) approved the sample agreement; and(3) authorized the <br />Chairman to execute said agreement when required <br />performance and payment bonds have been submitted <br />along with appropriate certificate of insurance and the <br />County Attorney has approved the agreement as to form <br />and legal sufficiency, as recommended in the memorandum <br />of February, 3, 2009. <br />AGREEMENT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />22 <br />February 10, 2009 <br />BK136PG793 <br />
