It was established that it is an artesian well, within the County's 70 -foot right-of-way. <br />and is used for irrigation by Johns Island. <br />Vice Chairman Stanbridge felt the Commissioners knew the history about Old Winter <br />Beach Road, a macadam road that was removed in total by the developer of Johns Island. <br />Chairman Ginn asked that all the Commissioners be provided with a copy of the letter. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously. (The Board approved the latest revised <br />proposed improvements to Old Winter Beach Road and directed <br />staff to issue a county right-of-way permit for the work, with the <br />following conditions (as presented to the Board on January 23, <br />2001, which meeting was deferred, but modified to include the <br />HRAC's recommended additional conditions) : 1) The bridge <br />tender's site will remain in public ownership at its historic <br />location. 2) Public access to the bridge tender's site will remain <br />unrestricted. 3) The roadway alignment will be micro -sited <br />within the 70' wide right-of-way, under the supervision of <br />county environmental planning staff, to maximize the protection <br />of existing native vegetation and wetlands 4) The 10' wide <br />vegetated buffer will meet the planting standards applied to the <br />Jungle Trail buffer, including the planting of native canopy <br />trees. 5) The developer will provide a detailed tree survey (of <br />native trees) in the right-of-way for county staff to review prior <br />to any road work.) <br />February 13, 2001 <br />95 <br />BR 1 1 7 PG 10 7 <br />
