RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 014 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN PAVING AND DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO 34T" AVENUE, 35T" AVENUE AND <br />INTERSECTING STREETS IN THE GROVENOR ESTATES <br />SUBDIVISION PROVIDING THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF <br />ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS, AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF <br />THE AREA SPECIFICALLY BENEFITTED. _ <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has been petitioned for Road <br />Paving and Drainage Improvement for 34th Avenue, 35`h Avenue and Intersecting Streets in the <br />Grovenor Estates Subdivision. <br />WHEREAS, the construction of paving and drainage improvements by special <br />assessment funding is authorized by Chapter 206, Section 206.01 through 206.09, Indian River <br />County Code; and cost estimates and preliminary assessment rolls have been completed by the <br />Public Works Department; and the total estimated cost of the proposed paving and drainage <br />improvements is SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY NINE THOUSAND TWELVE DOLLARS and <br />THIRTY TWO CENTS ($679,012.32); and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment provided hereunder shall, for any given record <br />•owner of property within the area specially benefitted, be in an amount equal to that proportion of <br />seventy-five percent (75%) of the total cost of the project plus 2% collection fee ($519,444.42) <br />which the number of acreage owned by the given owner bears to the total number of acreage within <br />the areas specially benefitted and twenty-five percent (25%) of the total cost of the project <br />($169,753.08) will <br />come from Petition Paving Account. Assessments are to be levied against all lots and lands <br />adjoining and contiguous or bounding and abutting upon the improvements or specially benefitted <br />thereby and further designated by the assessment plat with respect to the special assessments; and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment shall become due and payable at the Office of <br />the Department of Utility Service of Indian River County ninety (90) days after the final <br />determination of the special assessment pursuant to Section 206.08, Indian River County Code; and <br />February 13, 2001 <br />BK 117 PG 138 <br />126 <br />arn <br />
