MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Adams, to approve the purchase of the <br />dwelling at 584 5th Street SW, Vero Beach under the HUD <br />"Dollar Homes" initiative to create housing for families in need <br />and to revitalize neighborhoods <br />County Attorney Bangel interjected to make certain the Commissioners were aware <br />that the contract has an addendum concerning lead based paint. <br />Ms. Hubbard explained this HUD disclaimer is in all the contracts for properties over <br />20 years that they have the potential to have lead based paint. <br />County Attorney Bangel if the County does acquire the property, there will be other <br />statutory requirements. <br />It was established that the short time frame covered acquisition only, not closing. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />COPY OF SALES CONTRACT AND <br />OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS ARE ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />14.A. EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that following the meeting, the Commissioners would sit <br />as the Board of Commissioners ofthe Emergency Services District.
