It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />Commissioner Lowther commented that he thought that Kashi is an excellent <br />community. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lowther, <br />SECONDED BY Commissioner Adams, to approve staff's <br />recommendation. (Approve the PD rezoning request and the <br />PD conceptual plan subject to 18 conditions listed in the <br />memorandum.) (N.B.: Conditions 9 and 10 were modified by <br />a handout received from Planning Director Boling prior to the <br />meeting and placed on file with the backup in the office of the <br />Clerk to the Board.) <br />Vice Chairman Ginn indicated her support and commented that staff and the P&Z <br />have spent a lot of time on this and she thought Kashi has tried very hard to protect the <br />environment. <br />Commissioner Neuberger believed the development was too intense for area but, <br />with the buffers to be provided, it will not be seen from the road. He also thought 78 units <br />would not greatly impact traffic. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously.
