1 0 <br />bring more educational facilities to the Mueller Campus, especially facilities which will help to <br />train students in emerging technologies such as medical instrumentation, advanced medical <br />health services, biotech nanotechnology and other appropriate emerging technologies and <br />services; and (d) Begin planning for a Park of Commerce to the west of the populated area of <br />town, which will allow for the expedition of permitting. <br />• <br />Director Keating updated the Board on the status of the two industrial parks located on <br />SR60, west of I-95. <br />Commissioner Solari stressed that if the County is serious about bringing in emerging <br />technology and industries for the long term, then the planning needs to start immediately for <br />where they would be located; and he believed a campus -type setting would be best. <br />2. C. COMMISSIONER JOSEPH E. FLESCHER <br />Commissioner Flescher presented his 2009 goals as follows: <br />(1) Incentives for Going Green. Implement incentives for individuals using green <br />construction. Reducing impact fees could encourage more folks to go green, thus saving the <br />government and taxpayers money by not further burdening the infrastructure. <br />Commissioner Solari thought some of this may require revisiting how we price certain <br />resources. <br />(2) Implement a Summit to include Advisory Committee Chairmen who would review <br />common issues, examine goals and achievements, and see if there are collateral concerns.
