Resolution No. 2003426 - Review. Consideration, and Revision <br />oflndian River Countv Local Hous' Pr Assistance Plan (L AP) -FY <br />200344, 2004405, and 2005-06 - State Housing Initiatives <br />Partnership (SHIP) - Florida Housing Finance Corporation. <br />Vice Chairman Ginn noted she could not support this resolution. She is not opposed <br />to affordable housing but still does not favor density bonuses and is concerned about the <br />concentration of multi -family affordable housing in the southeast corridor of the county. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Neuberger, for discussion, to <br />approve staff's recommendation. <br />Under discussion, Community Development Director Robert Keating, responding to <br />questions of Commissioner Neuberger, explained that the County must meet certain criteria <br />in order to continue to receive SHIP funds under the LHAP because of State requirements. <br />The State looks for the County to offer a wide range of incentives.
