Planning Director Stan Boling reviewed the Memorandum for the Board. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding this matter. There being none, the Charman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously (A) found that: (1) it is empowered <br />under the provisions of Chapter 971 to review the <br />special exception applied for; (2) the granting of the <br />special exception will not adversely affect the public <br />interest; (3) the application satisfies the general and <br />specific criteria required for special exception <br />approval; and (4) the condition stated below is <br />adequate to ensure compatibility between the special <br />exception use and surrounding land uses; and (B) <br />granted special exception use approval for the self- <br />service storage facility with the condition that prior <br />to issuance of a certificate of occupancy the required <br />Type B landscape buffer must be installed along the <br />west property line and approved by Planning <br />Division staff; all as recommended by staff <br />MARCH 12, 2002 <br />
