Peter Robinson, President of Laurel Homes, 315 Greytwig Road, felt that Mr. <br />Swanson's corporation is doing an excellent job and, as a single-family developer, he has <br />absolutely no problem with this project. <br />Jerry Swanson, President of Sun -Up, stated that they will be happy to cooperate with <br />Mr. Genoni on the sign. They are not looking for walk-up business. He suggested that <br />perhaps Mr. Genoni could consider donating a sign. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard regarding this matter. There <br />being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Macht reminded the Board of a request for rezoning in 1986 where <br />a project involving handicapped persons was completed and the engineer had failed to get <br />the rezoning prior to development. This was an interesting case because the rezoning was <br />being done after -the -fact and the Chambers was filled with protesting neighbors while the <br />project had been completed for over 3 years and the neighbors did not even know the project <br />was there. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board <br />unanimously (A) found that: (1) it is empowered <br />under the provisions of Chapter 971 to review the <br />special exceptions applied for; (2) the granting of <br />the special exception will not adversely affect the <br />public interest; (3) the application satisfies the <br />MARCH 12, 2002 <br />
