Previously approved <br />funding of $4,375,000 would be utilized and additional <br />revenue of $1,700,000 would come from the Local Option <br />Sales Tax from US1/41h Street Intersection appropriation. <br />This would leave a shortfall of $151,258. One bulkhead <br />and the pool blankets could be eliminated at this time <br />and purchased at a later date to rectify the shortfall. <br />Constr tion/Budget Alrarnativ No ? <br />To fund a full size Olympic pool with competition <br />equipment including two movable bulkheads and separate <br />diving well, and all the pertinent building and site <br />related support facilities, a construction budget of <br />$6,226,258 would be required. Additional revenue of <br />$1,000,000 would be funded by the IRC School Board (not <br />currently approved) and $851,258 from the $1,700,000 <br />Local Option Sales Tax from US 1/4`h Street Intersection <br />appropriation. <br />FA <br />Last July, Staff recommended a construction alternative <br />that include a scaled-back Olympic pool and/or reduced <br />activity pool at a cost of $4,375,000 to match the It <br />Sales Tax appropriation, FRDAP grant, and other approved <br />blended revenue sources. If this alternative is <br />selected, the following items would have to be <br />eliminated: <br />Diving well, diving boards & stantion <br />Competition equipment <br />Heating Olympic Pool <br />Bulkheads for Olympic Pool <br />Reduce size of pool building (17%) <br />Reduce sitework (17%) <br />Reduce lighting, deck size, utilities, etc. (17%) <br />Reduce size of Olympic Pool (17%) <br />Reduce size of activity pool to 5,000 s.f. <br />Heating blankets and storage reels <br />Eliminate water slide from Activity Pool <br />Eliminate Activity Feature from Activity Pool <br />Reduce pavement section & misc. drainage changes <br />Suitable fill material provided by others <br />MARCH 13, 2001 0� <br />-36- <br />
