Vice Chairman Stanbridge stated that many people think the land is being purchased <br />for scrub jays and do not realize it is a re -charge area. It takes a lot to convince them that the <br />scrub land has more than one benefit. The same goes for the property along the Lagoon. <br />Once again, Mr. Coffey referred back to the objective established for the committee. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Commissioner Macht suggested there might be future brochures on specific tracts, and <br />Mr. Coffey advised that one of the suggestions within the committee was a booklet that the <br />Chamber of Commerce might spearhead. <br />Commissioner Adams noted a difference of approximately $1.4 million on the <br />program costs, and Mr. DeBlois advised that staff would double check the figures. He <br />thought there was an explanation but was not able to recall it at the moment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved the <br />brochure with corrections as discussed. <br />The Commissioners expressed their thanks to the committee. <br />11.A.2.
