7.K. Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 015 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of March 14, 2001: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE. March 14, 2001 <br />SUBJECT: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 015 <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Baird <br />Assistant County Administrato <br />FROM: Jason E Brown ro <br />Budget Manager <br />Description and Conditions <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. On January 2, 2001, the Board of Commissioners approved a Public Transit Block Grant (PTBG) <br />application with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The attached entry appropriates <br />funding in the amount of $242,183. <br />On May 16, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved an EMPA Competitive Grant for the <br />development of a County Wide Wildfire Mitigation Plan. The attached entry appropriates these <br />grant funds. <br />3. The attached entry appropnates funding for the Classification and Compensation Plan Study as <br />approved by the Board of Commissioners Funding will be provided by a combination of reserves <br />for contingency, fund reserves, and other sources. <br />4. Dunng FY 1998/99, the County purchased Fire Stations 8 and 9 from the Sebastian Volunteer Fire <br />Department for five annual payments of $7 000. The attached entry appropriates funding for this <br />year's payment from Emergency Services District contingencies. <br />5. On March 13, 2001, the Board of Commissioners approved co -sponsoring a presentation on the <br />Indian River County economy with the Chamber of Commerce and Indian River Community <br />College. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund contingencies. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />miscellaneous budget amendment 015, as recommended in the <br />memorandum. <br />March 20, 2001 <br />ui( <br />2 <br />30 <br />
