Gorham, Ph.D. <br />Environmental Analyst '3V - <br />SUBJECT: Dial Cordy and Associates <br />Contract Amendment No.2 <br />DATE: February 25, 2002 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Dial Cordy and Associates is currently under contract with the <br />county for the preparation of an Environmental Assessment, required <br />for Federal permitting under the National Environmental Policy Act, <br />for the Sectors 1&2 beach renourishment project. On February 20, <br />2002, a project coordination meeting was held with the Federal <br />permitting agencies to discuss the Environmental Assessment. At <br />this meeting, the agencies indicated ed at they <br />offshore uldrorequirew area to <br />underwater video survey of the propbe present that would have been <br />determine if any seagrass may <br />missed by the side scan sonar survey conducted in 2000 to survey <br />for rock outcroppings. The attached Contract Amendment in the <br />amount of $8,400.00 reflects the scope of services and costs to <br />complete this task. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends the approval of Contract Amencment No. 2 to the <br />contract with Dial Cordy and Associates, Inc. Funding is from <br />the Beach Preservation Fund 128-144-572. This project is eligible <br />for 75% cost sharing by the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Protection under DEP Contract No. 98IR1. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Contract Amendment No. 2 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved Contract <br />Amendment No. 2 to the contract with Dial Cordy and <br />Associates, Inc., with funding as set out in the memorandum, as <br />recommended in the memorandum. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 2 IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />March 5, 2002 <br />
