Cox, P.E., Civil <br />nainee <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot 10, Block 24, <br />Vero Lake Estates Unit 5A <br />REFERENCE: Project No. 2002020128-30113 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />DATE: February 21, 2002 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />S <br />MGB Construction, Inc. has submitted a building peinrit application for a single-family residence on <br />the subject property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone base flood elevation <br />23.5 ft. N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant s engineer dated February 13, 2002, a <br />waiver of the cut and fill requirements is requested The lot area is 1.07 acres. The volume of the <br />100 -year floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is estimated to be 549.7 cubic yards. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Storniwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots located in the <br />Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Grant the cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section 930.07(2)(d)4. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the cut and fill waiver.
