Cox, P.E., Civil Engineer/ <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for River Bend Golf <br />Club Planned Development <br />REFERENCE: PD -01-02-07 / LDP Application No. 99080024-25913 <br />DATE: February 23, 2001 <br />DFSCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Knight, McGuire & Associates, Inc., on behalf of Shopco Advisory Corporation, the developer of <br />River Bend Golf Club is requesting a waiver of the cut and fill balance requirement of Section <br />930.07(2)(d) of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance. The project is located <br />on the west bank of the Indian River Lagoon between 63rd Street and the IRFWCD North Relief <br />Canal. The site is located in special flood hazard area Zone AE with base flood elevations of 7 8, <br />and 9 feet N.G.V.D. The ten year still water elevation is 4.7 feet. The proposed displacement of the <br />floodplain below 4.7 feet for which the waiver is requested is 72.91 acre feet or 117,628 cubic yards <br />as indicated in the attached letter from the applicant's engineer dated February 21, 2001. <br />AI TFRNATTVFS ANDANAJ YSTS <br />The project meets the cut and fill balance waiver criteria provided in Section 930.07(2)(d)1. of being <br />situated in an estuarine environment within the 100 year floodplain along the Indian River and in <br />staff's opinion it appears that all other Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance <br />March 6, 2001 <br />54 <br />BK 117PG313 <br />
