them more confident, the paramedics and firefighters of Indian River County, Vero Beach <br />Police Department, Indian River Shores Police Department and the Sheriffs Department, <br />who all treat the lifeguards as professionals. He also recognized the nurses who come to the <br />beach and offer their assistance to the lifeguards. He gave a brief description of the event <br />and noted the heroic action of the gentleman who was attempting to save his son and keeping <br />his head above water until the lifeguards could reach them. They were lucky to get to them <br />in time. <br />Chairman Ginn emphasized that the lifeguards are heroes and expressed the thanks <br />of the Board. <br />6.A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - MARCH 6, 2001 <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of March 6, 2001. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams, the Board <br />unanimously approved the Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of March 6, 2001, as written. <br />6.13.
